Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
Do I need a timed entry slot for ARTIS Zoo?
Regular ARTIS Zoo day tickets do not require a separate entry-time reservation. Choose the visit date required by your seller and follow your voucher. Museum and cruise combinations may have separate arrangements.
Does zoo entry include the Aquarium and Planetarium?
Yes. Regular ARTIS Zoo admission includes the Aquarium and Planetarium. Check the daily programme for presentation times and leave room for them during your visit.
Are Micropia and Groote Museum included?
Micropia and Groote Museum are separate attractions. They are included only when your chosen package explicitly lists them together with ARTIS Zoo admission.
Should I book ARTIS Zoo tickets in advance?
Booking ahead lets you compare the available dates, prices and admission packages. Follow the date and entry conditions on the selected offer; prices at the ticket office may differ.
How long should I allow for my visit?
Allow several hours to explore the zoo at your own pace. Add more time for Micropia, Groote Museum or a canal cruise, and check closing times and the daily programme before planning your day.
Do children need a ticket?
Children aged 0–2 enter the zoo free, while ages 3–12 use a child ticket and visitors aged 13 or over use the adult category. Select the correct ages and follow the voucher instructions; combination packages may have different age categories.
How do combination tickets work?
A combination includes zoo admission and the additional museum or cruise named in that offer. Check the opening hours, boarding point and any reservation requirements for each part before planning both activities.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Cancellation and change conditions vary by seller and offer. Read the selected booking terms before payment and check whether the same conditions apply to every part of a combination ticket.
Is ARTIS Zoo wheelchair accessible?
Most of ARTIS Zoo is accessible by wheelchair, although some areas have more limited access. Loan wheelchairs are limited and should be arranged in advance. Check the accessibility arrangements for any museum or cruise included in your package.
